This weekend the girls made beautiful Thanksgiving and Christmas banners just in time for the holiday season. Great and beautiful job girls!
The Rubies Leader Assistants have worked so hard since August to come up with items for their fundraiser. These girls are working on earning money to pay their way to a leadership training retreat in February in Florida. Unfortunately because we were so busy working there are not enough pictures to show just how many hands helped in making this craft fair successful. Special thanks to all those not shown who spent many late nights working to make this day a success! We appreciate you and couldn't have done it without you!!!
The Rubies Girls learned how to make pear & raspberry preserves, pear & apple crisp, and canned cinnamon pear sticks. This weekend was definitely filled with lots of cooking and kitchen preparation. Great job girls!
This weekend our lovely group of Rubies Girls learned how to can and make fresh grape juice from muscadines off Yvonne Haskins small vineyards. The girls were also taught how to use a masticating juicer and made delicious pear, apple & grape juice to sip on during the day. Great job girls! This camp the girls learned all about the different rooms in the house, how to properly clean, hand embroidery skills for dish towels, and lots of cooking! What a great group of Rubies Girls!
The Sew-cabulary camp is all about patterns! Each girl learned how to read a pattern, and tailor it to fit herself! Some of the girls worked on outfits for the NC Wool Competition, some sewed formal gowns for their crown checklist, and others worked on advancing their sewing skills! Great job Rubies!!!
The famous bags camp was a blast, with PLENTY of bags made and lots of skills learned! Great job Rubies Girls!
